Penelope - 7 lbs 11 ozs (oh yeah) Lydia - 13 lbs 4 ozs (oh wow)
Thank you so much for your prayers. We are getting a little better every day at reading the signals Penny gives us. Sweet thing doesn't speak English yet so we have to learn Preemie. We learned alot in the hospital but it's almost like learning Spanish in school and then hearing a conversation at the grocery store in Spanish...not the same.
We've had a few excellent g-tube dressing changes and few less than excellent g-tube dressing changes. We've had some very sweet moments of snuggle time, sister time, peaceful everybody napping time. We've also had some everybody crying time. At least we're all in it together!
So, since things are quieting down considerably in the way of new news and calls for prayer warriors, it's time to stop bombing your email accounts. We'll still be posting to the blog regularly with pictures and videos and of course the boring text part with all the details. If you simply don't think that you can go to www.iamknittogether.blogspot.com and need an email, let me know and I'll email you a link when I post to the blog. I'll keep posing updates to facebook and twitter too if you're into that kind of thing. Thank you so much for coming along with us on this journey.
One last thing. All of these blogs from the very first one to today will be printed in a book that hopefully will be a powerful reminder to our precious daughters and to us of what God has done. Every step of the way He's been so faithful. Every step of the way you have been so faithful to lift us up to Him. Many of you we don't even know. So, in an effort to get an idea of how many people have been praying for us, would you do us a favor? Would you please either respond in an email or post a comment on the blog to let us know who you are, how you came to join us on this crazy journey, and anything else that you would like to share with the girls so that they can be included in their book. I'm sure it will be a treasure to them as they see how many people loved them through the beginnings of their lives.
Thank you from the bottom of all of our hearts
The Chus
P.S. it has been brought to my attention that one of the brain cells that I lost during pregnancy was the one that determines the appropriate use of their and they're. Apparently it has not returned yet and I apologize for misusing them. I hope you can forgive me.
Hey sweet girls! I am so glad that you are doing so much better these days and continue to pray and think about you often. I am friends with your Aunt Shelli. We were pregnant with our first kids at that same time. You mommy came with Aunt Shelli to bring me a meal when my second little girl was born so she has lots of practice holding girls! I look forward to seeing what great things God has in store for your lives.
ReplyDeleteA few trivial facts of how your parents and I have crossed paths over the years. Your daddy and I went to the same school - though I am a "few" years older than him. Your mommy used to live across the street from my granddaddy many years ago. And one of my closest college friends used to be in violin group or take from the same instructor as her....but your daddy can jump WAY higher when he plays!!!!!

Ari Morris and mom Becky Gilger have been praying.
ReplyDeleteBonnie and Roy Walters as well as the New Hope Christian Church Prayer Team. Love you guys!
I'm Melissa Onek. I worked with Shelli at Shadowlawn and we have kept in touch through Facebook. I began following you through Shelli, then I bookmarked your blog and I check it every single day. Prayers to you, and God's blessings on this amazing journey!!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a privilege to see your story unfold. My longtime friend Ami mentioned your blog on facebook a few times; I've followed your blog for a few months, & prayed for you & rejoiced at the answers God has been providing. It's an inspiration to see the strength that God has given to each of you ~ parents, little ones, extended family, and friends ~ during this time. What a testimony of God's grace!

Hi girls,
ReplyDeleteI started following the blog when Jonathan posted the link on his blog. I started reading the blog and have a special place in my heart for the girls because I was born 3 months premature too. I weighed one pound and 7 ounces at birth. I was in the hospital for the first 5.5 months of my life. I am here today writing to you because of the miracle of God and I know that he has an AMAZING plan for my life. I may have started out small, but I am going to be called to do big things with my life and I can't wait to see what they are. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. and you might want to check out my blog at www.jessicaebersole.blogspot.com
Blessings!
Jessica
I am super blessed little grasshoppers...I met your mommy years before this precious chapter of her life began with you two. I met her years ago when I joined a community group with her and a bunch of other gals from Highpoint Church. The first thing I noticed about your mommy is how she was so genuine and made me feel welcome, when I guess I really just felt shy and insecure. I got to watch from a distance as your mommy and daddy fell more and more in love like when your daddy brought her flowers to community group one night, their sweet wedding day when your daddy played beautiful music as your mommy and her gorgeous self walked down the aisle, and then the joy when she announced that she was pregnant with TWO precious grasshoppers...and shortly after it was unveiled that she was having girls and then came your names. Precious ones you have a fight within you that is God given. Know that in whatever challenges you face in life you have your mommy and daddy as not just your parents but as prayer warriors and they will fight to bring healthy things along your path as you grow in this world. You two are something special. You impacted my life and gave me hope with your big preemie muscles...maybe your mommy ate a bunch of Wheaties when you were in her belly...regardless know that within you is some massive strength little sisters and your path is a blessed one because God is all over it...from the very beginning and all the way until the day your precious heads will sparkle with gray and smile wrinkles line your eyes.

Hi little ladies,
ReplyDeleteI am Crystal Culver. Nichol Moore is one of my best friends and asked me to start praying for you guys while you were still in your Mommy's tummy. I have followed the emails and blogs since that moment. God put a strong pull on my heart to pray for you all. I have really just LOVED seeing God's hands move in all your lives. I check the blog weekly. I continue to pray for you all(as does my 10 year old daughter Erin...she always asks how "the twins" are.!) In Him, Crystal
Hi Sweet Girls!
ReplyDeleteI met your daddy a long time ago when he was playing with Todd Agnew- some of us gals from the message boards got to be really good friends and meet up all over the country to spend time together. We use concerts as an excuse. :) So we've gotten to get to know your daddy a bit.
