The best I can manage is to squeeze this in during some down time at work. So here is the short and the short of it.
- Lydia is talking up a storm (mostly jabbering but a few words are standing out) and still just right on the edge of walking
- Penny is talking more and more every day! She is experimenting with tones and pitches and it's hilarious. She is also crawling wherever she pleases and waiting less than patiently for her nurse and ventilator to catch up. We actually caught her trying to pull Royce (the rolling stand) with the tubes from her neck. Like she was lassoing it or something. Too funny.
- they pretty much keep us laughing all the time
- Jonathan is home from tour for the better part of 4 months!!!
- this timing is perfect because we have been blessed with a new addition to our family
- Goldens-n-Doodles of Tennessee has graciously donated to us a puppy to be trained as a service dog. (google them to see pictures. They are also on Facebook and the puppy is coming from the De-La and Zues litter)
- we will be doing the majority of the training considering the fact that there is no established service dog training program in Memphis.
- there is a dog training center in town that works with all types of working dogs and the owner there has agreed to donate her time to help us in this endeavor. We are so grateful!
- the gratitude definitely outweighs the exhaustion and that's yet another thing we are grateful for. When I start to tell people our story or catch them up on what's going on, the prevailing sentiment is "wow you guys are blessed". That couldn't be more true!
Being that I am at school the Internet allowances are strict and I can't upload pictures right now but I will as soon as I'm able.....maybe by next week!
