5-10

We've been having so much fun with being able to have our girls in the same room that it's hard to want to leave the hospital and it's hard to want to pick up a computer!  So, I'll make this short.  Penny's labs looked really good this morning.  She had her eyes checked again and they're looking good.  She's doing really well in her physical therapy.  Plus, she keeps getting cuter every day! The only thing that's not looking good is her weight gain.  She's doing really well with her bottle feedings but it seems to be burning to many calories and is not allowing her to gain what she should.  The answer seems to be a g-tube and after a meeting with her doctor this morning we are more sure of this than ever.  She'll be able to get half of her feeds (the nighttime ones) through the tube and will take bottles during the day.  This way her body can rest and use those calories effectively.  Her upper GI showed some reflux but it didn't seem to be enough to warrant the reflux repair, so there's another more detailed scan that they need to do to make sure.  The surgery will most likely not happen until next week but it's all up to surgery scheduling...so we wait.  At least the wait gets a little shorter every day...right?

Ok, Jonathan and I were blessed with tickets to "Celtic Woman" tonight at the Orpheum so I have to go!  More details and pictures soon!
