We're extubated!!!! They turned down her vent settings and took a bloodgas an hour later. It was at her normal level so with some sweet talking from the RT she got the ok to get off the vent! She's now at 2 liters and 50% o2 and satting really well. The sad part is that now we can hear her cry and it's the saddest little hoarse sound you've ever heard. It's the most beautiful little hoarse sound I've ever heard.
And in other great news, our little friend Ellie Rose was born and is in the WELL BABY nursery!!! I'm so proud of her. I don't know any other details but being in the well baby nursery means no major critical issues and that just makes me so happy!!! Yay God and Yay Ellie Rose and Yay Ellie's mama!
God is so good. His blessings are eternal. keep fighting, Penny, you're almost home!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful news! Anytime a mommy's baby has surgery, it's so hard. Add in the preemie-complications factor, and would have to make it so much harder. Three of my kids have had surgeries, at different ages (including an inguinal hernia repair for a preschooler), and it's always a vivid lesson in trusting God. So glad to hear good news. Thanks for continuing to share what God is doing.
