It's lydia's fault

Lydia was doing gymnastics in her dreams, ended up on her belly, and woke up very angry about it. Therefore I was awakened to the sound of angry baby and now can't go back to sleep. I guess my body is starting to catch up a little....that or I went to bed at 9 when Lydia went down. Either way, it's lydia's fault.

So the quick update is that Penny's vent settings were weaned and then they turned them back up but for a good reason. We could focus on getting her off the vent and getting her home (what I've been focussed on) but that may not be the best thing for her long term. This is such a critical time for brain growth and development that forcing her body to use all it's energy on breathing is not wise. She has a trach so that breathing can not be so much work for her. We may as well use it and give her the best shot at normalcy (poor kid is already starting off at a deficit by being our kid! Normal may be too lofty a goal).

We also tried spoon feeding for the first time on Friday...she was less than thrilled about it but we will keep trying. I think Lydia told her to hold out for the peaches!

Sweet Lydia is doing well but has started coughing. No fever or any other indications that she doesn't feel well, just a cough and a little chest rattle. Most likely I'll take her to the Lebonheur urgent care clinic right by our house this morning to see if I should continue to keep her away from Penny. It really stinks to have to do that because it severely limits my time with Penny and I think they both just do better when they're together.

Work has been going very very well. Im enjoying my students and my classes which make it so much easier to be there and not with my girls. The time away from them and the complete lack of down time is starting to wear on me but just like with everything else, I need to give up using my own strength because it's worthless and rely on the Lord's strength. His is so much better.

Specific Prayer
- His strength for Jonathan and me
- Lydia to be well (and not contagious)
- Penelope to continue to do excellently and for her little brain to grow grow grow!
- our buddy Lynnlee who got to go home with her mommy and daddy last week!
