I found a second to catch you up on pictures and a little information (no extra charge)!! Penny is 5.14 kg which is 11lbs 5ozs and is loving her bottle! Still not a fan of the rice cereal but we are working on it. She is also going to be switched to a more comfortable trach for those who are challenged in the neck department. Then she will start the process of switching to the home vent setup. Once she's reached 6 kgs and keeps gaining for 2 weeks after the home vent switch she gets to come home! Just a few more hurdles.

Lydia is waking up so the rest will be short. Lydia is doing great. She and penny both have developed eczema (thanks chus) so we are always after them with some kind of cream.

We had so much fun at the Forrest spence fund 5k! We were the first to talk about what FSF has done for us and just as soon as I started talking I started crying. Hopefully it came across as more grateful than basketcase...I guess either way would be true!

We also made a stop at a new italian restaurant called "Vitos Cucina" on our way home from seeing Penny and ended up "greeting Lydia and Penny's public". Turns out the owner and his wife (who I know from way back) are blog readers! They were so excited to meet Lydia in person. They would be excited to meet you too! It's drive through, pick up, and delivery and it's delicious Italian food! You gotta try Vitos!

  1. You did a wonderful job on Saturday. Very proud of you.

Austin has terrible eczema and we have found a prescription oil called Derma-Smooth is the only thing that works. It helps tremendously.

    Girls are precious as always!
