01-01

Just a quick update to let you know that Penelope's blood sugars are back down and under control.  The Endocrinologist diagnosed her with Congenital Diabetes which is treatable and most likely the type that will go away after 6 months to a year.  He also said that her risk of damage because of yesterday's spike is minimal.  So praise the Lord!  What I was praying for was a diagnosis and a treatment and that's exactly what we got!   Lydia gained some more weight last night and is now on 5ccs every 3 hours of food.  Penny is going on continuous feeding so they can control her insulin a little more precisely.  But both girls are gaining and that's what we want!  Ok, laptop battery is about to die.  I'll update more detail later.

  1. So glad everyone is doing well. I can't believe Penny's glucose was almost 2,000! (and very relieved that they don't think it will have a long term effect!) Praying always for the whole family. Hope everyone can be in one place again soon.
