Poor little thing has been so active though that she's torn one of her sutures out. It looks like it would hurt but they're taking out all the sutures and doing her first trach change on Wednesday so they said to just leave it and keep an eye on it. This means I'll be too skittish to hold her anymore or even let her have too much "free arm" time until then. Probably best anyway.
Lydia had a speech therapy appointment this morning and did very well. She's been cleared to try "real" foods and teething biscuits! She was less than excited about the peas but was a fan of the biscuits. That's my girl!!! She's also doing better every day at "prop sitting" and rolling over. And she looooves to blow "raspberries." It's pretty adorable even if it did sound like an inappropriate sound in the middle of church.
Specific Prayer
- Healing for Penny's trach site
- Successful weaning from the ventilator
- Peace and comfort for Penny during the sedation weaning
- Safety for Jonathan as he travels
- Continued growth and thriving for Lydia
- Wisdom and discernment for childcare (still need someone for Mondays and Fridays for Lydia)
- The Lord's strength to continue to be poured out on us
Sorry the video is small...I keep forgetting to turn my phone sideways to video
She may not be fully aware yet but I swear she's signing "I love you".... or "rock on"...not sure
"Mom, this was a speech therapy appointment! Why am I having tummy time?"
I mean couldn't you just eat those cheeks?
LOVE your babies! And, I love your "druggy baby" comments...you crack me up!
ReplyDeleteNina just watched the video of Penny with me. You should hear her say, "She is SO cute!" I just tried explaining "withdrawal" to Nina. I don't think she got it. :) Bit it's never too early to start, right?
