Through Daddy's eyes

It's hard to write a blog while my husband is playing with my daughter and I hear "hey Mommy! I can touch my toes to my face!"  However, I will try.

Penelope has spent her morning with doing well in her occupational therapy, loving her bath, rocking at her weigh in (gained 40g again!) and then throwing a fit and getting chloral and sleeping the rest of the day.  She had a wonderful bloodgas this morning and had her rate weaned to 22 breathes per minute and is doing pretty well on her sedation wean as well.

Lydia spent her morning throwing fits and fussing (most likely a result of being totally off of her schedule yesterday) and then once we got to the hospital she's been entertaining the nurses.  Almost every time she makes her rather loud happy noise, someone comes running in thinking that a patient's trach has come out.  You see, most of the kids on this hall are trached and when one is trached they very rarely make such loud noises.  It's pretty comical.

Lydia also helped her mommy and daddy go through the myriad of pictures and videos her daddy has taken so that we could post them for your viewing pleasure.  So, here they are!

(the specific prayer is the same as always so I won't repost....except for Lynlee Smith is having surgery on Monday so go ahead and start praying for her)

 Silly Mommy
"Don't eat me, I'm not food"
 Mommy stole the camera
 scheming
"What are we doing tonight Penny?"

"Same thing we do everynight Lydia. Try to take over the wooorld!!!!"
having a meeting
Penny with her Lydi-lamb and Lydia with her Penny-bunny
and rest was had by all
 forced hugging
 "What?!?"
"I'll tell you what I think about that!"
 some beautiful Chu women
"are you sure we're supposed to be doing this?"
 a quickly captured awake moment
there's a smile in them there eyes
"this is just carrots and squash right?"
 clean babies are happy babies
who could pick just one snugly towel picture!
